The show was opened by Jessica Tjiptoning from  Raffles Institute of Higher Education Singapore. Her collection was inspired by Japanese Meiji Ishi Era, which is strongly showed by the silhouettes and color used on this collection. Stiff but delicate; that’s also one of the things that designer was trying to show throughout this collection by combining the stiff fabric like organza, and silk jacquard. The fabric used was mostly stiff to enhance the structural silhouette and we also can see a lot of texture was used in this collection.

The second designer was Rumawisari Dewi from  Raffles Institute of Higher Education Sydney. The collection was simple and feminine, it was showed by the color and print used. Peachy pink, purplish blue, deep green, floral prints and simple silhouettes create such a resort feel. This collection is totally wearable and suitable to wear to any event during the day.

The third collection was by Felicia Raina Ardelia from Raffles Institute of Higher Education Singapore & Shanghai with “Femme Fatale”. Inspired by the 40s classic film noir, she’s trying to bring the character into her garments. “Cunning as a fox, they will lure their lover with their beauty and charm them into dangerous situation. Their chameleon-like persona – sweet and innocent one moment, a bad girl in another – are just the contradiction every man adores” as she mentioned. The collection is mostly evening gowns. The used of lace, brocades, silk satin, crepe de chine, fur and bead as the detail enhance the sexy, seductive kind of look. The color used like burgundy, white, black and crème accentuate the glamorous woman she’s trying to portray.

The forth collection was “Facade” by Sri Lukito Sari Poetronegoro from Raffles Institute of Higher Education Singapore. She was inspired by the work of architect Frank Gehry. Strong but soft at the same time is something she’s working with in this collection. The color used was mostly black, gray and purple.

The fifth collection was “Unseen” by Peggy Hartanto from Raffles Institute of Higher Education Sydney. Clean, simple, minimalist are three words that is suitable to describe her collection. The use of skin color tulle which is transparent with solid white fabric creates a floating panels illusion. The white, pastel yellow, black and jade color use in this collection enhance the minimalist side that she’s trying to portray. The collection looks light, flowy and yet strong.

The last was a couture collection by Grace Soenjaya from. Rage & Serenity was the theme of her collection. Intricate fabric manipulation and appliqués, elaborate silhouette and color used makes the collection looks lavish and elegant. Thus makes this collection suitable for woman who has a strong character.

And here’s 3 people on the fashion show we randomly interviewed.
